More of this please. Beautiful bottle. Deep red color. Full bodied. Dark red fruit. Really started to shine after an hour decant and another hour just passing time. Cherries, plums, and licorice. Initially just smooth, and then the flavors evolve. The finish lingers. Nice balance of acidity and tannins. There’s some more age out of this one. This does not drink like a second label. — 7 years ago
Second of the three wines to celebrate passing with distinction on the WSET 2.
Deep purplish ruby red. Mute nose with dark black and red fruits. Some dark cocoa and pencil shavings too. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Rounded but tight to start with notes of dark raspberries, cedar, spices and cinnamon. Long and very dry finish with lots of dark minerality. Drink till 2027.
Still a baby Merlot-led Bordeaux blend that definitely needs a solid hour to two hour decant. — 8 years ago

This 2010 Pinot is at its peak. Classic Sonoma nose, rich ruby color, with no sign of fading. Peter Michael wines age with grace and become more complex with each passing year. — 7 years ago
Well balanced and cherry ripe dark chocolate taste — 8 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965, with a goal to produce world-class sparkling wines, passing torch to their son Hugh. A blend of 81% Pinot Noir and 19% Chardonnay (blend varies each year) with stone and berry fruit aromas and earthy spice. On the palate the light mousse shows raspberry, peach and mango flavors with biscuit and slight baking spice notes. Long finish, lively acidity ending with citrus and yeasty tones.
