Required almost 2 hours of decanting. It was quite the experience because this Barolo continued to evolve and provide new flavours throughout the night. Plums, figs, berries, strawberries, raspberries, followed by vanilla, oak, humidor notes, earth, mild herbaceousness, truffles. Tannins are big, chewy but soft and persist for a long time. It’s a complex wine that provides gifts of new flavours that are very well integrated. — 8 years ago
