This is a well made dessert wine from the tiny island of Pantelleria off the Sicilian coast. Muscat grapes dried in the sun produce an unctuous wine with orange and apricot honey flavors. It could have used a bit more acidity and length to really show is best — 7 years ago
Wonderful Sicilian natural wine! Deep gold (let’s call it light orange) in color. Hints of grilled lemons with a hint of smoke. Beautifully “funky.” A true winner! Great with appetizers! Thank you Franky Bella for this selection. — 7 years ago

I’ve had the famous sweet wine from this producer and terroir/varietal (that being the amazing Ben Ryé), but never this dry light version. The nose barrels you over with lavender - come to find out that tiny Pantelleria is dotted with lavender fields...who knew? Low alcohol, super fresh, citric zest, again the lavender, and baking spices on the palate. You can feel the Mediterranean winds blow by you sip this... — 6 years ago

Similar to Vin Santo. Would go well with biscotti. Long finish. — 7 years ago
Delicious dessert wine between port and Madeira- not as sweet as the latter. It’s delicious! — 7 years ago
