1990 Joseph Faiveley Latricieres Chambertin. Lunch w M at Il P. We got faked out at first by bad glasses, but once we switched out, nose was completely different. Beautiful brick color, nose was sweet, forest floor, mineral. This wine kept getting better throughout lunch. It really evolved and got more rounded with time. 2000 Bruno Giacosa Riserva Asili di Barbaresco. Holiday dinner w McC and M at Il P. Really good for most of the bottle- a little sweetness, a little funk. K was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it was, despite its youth. Only thing to note was that the very last bit of wine that had been sitting in the glass was completely flat when we came back around to it ~45 min later. — 8 years ago
