One word: reliable. Actually, one other word as well: affordable. This blend from the Antinoris, after decanting, showed sour cherry, plum, and ollalieberry. Our meal is steak and heavy pasta, (with ollalieberry pie for dessert!), and this Tuscan blend complements the food, but doesn't overpower it. An Italian workhorse. — 9 years ago
Fruity and soft on the palate. Complemented our New York steaks. Well. Great wine that needs to be drunk now. — 9 years ago

A bit young but that was our decision :) great fruit and acid balance for such a young wine. Really enjoyed. — 11 years ago
Has been a while since we've had the '07. It was great to find it at our small local Italian restaurant, especially for way below retail. Purchased the rest to take home to the cellar. Anyways, it is drinking very well. The 07 and 05 are our favorites and about the only Opus we purchase. — 11 years ago

Enjoying this bottle this evening! Excellent! Celebrating our recently completed master bath remodel after 5 months! — 10 years ago
On the nose, jam compote, cut roses and vanilla
On the palette, the wine is dense, but well proportioned. Copious amounts of cassis, white pepper, mushrooms and capsicum glide over the tongue. Tannins are pronounced, but suave.
This is a well made and deftly balanced full-throttle blend. I'm impressed as I thought our palettes would be overwhelmed. Works well with and without food. I'd love to take another look at this 3 years from now. — 11 years ago

This was a wonderful wine with our last-of-summer BBQ dinner. After 15 years in the bottle, it's very well balanced. — 13 years ago

Caymus, especially the last few vintages, are polarizing, I know. However, my wife claims this is her favorite wine. As you can imagine, this anniversary vintage is difficult to find, but my buddy @Mike R came through BIG when I told him I was searching for my bride. He graciously sent 3 one liters in exchange for some recommendations of my own. Needless to say, in Mike's own words, my wife is smiling huge! Many thanks to you, Mike! Our family opened this up at my wife's request as we put together the finishing touches for our trip out to Napa in 2 weeks.

I love this wine--a somewhat creamy and floral SB, the musque clone lends a very interesting flavor and aroma profile. Delicious with shrimp cocktail and our cheese plate, but it would be equally tasty on its own. — 10 years ago

Always our favorite. — 11 years ago
