Leathery. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Great tasting bourbon from a local distillery in Lenexa, Kansas. Spicy notes at first sip with a "creamy" middle and strong citrus hints in the end. Easily one of the most satisfying and complex bourbons I've enjoyed. — 7 years ago

Not a Bourbon guy, but this was ridiculously good. Single barrel Blanton's. They don't cut this before bottling, so you end up with a 128 proof smack to the face that carries cinnamon, burnt caramel, and cream. It's almost viscous, coating your mouth. Don't plan on drinking anything after this... your palate will be blown! — 8 years ago
Prairie Artisan Ales and Evil Twin Collaboration. Nearly headless, then about a quarter headed with a dark chocolate wafer color, and shoe-mesh texture. Ebon and daunting. Pecan-espresso and darkest chocolate, burnt caramel, vanilla bean, strangely mint and flax-hemp seed. Can’t shake the peppermint patty-ness of this initially, but then dark mocha lava cake minus the sweetness. Pointed espresso oils, bitter chicory, vanilla, whiskey barrel brings up the rear with ginger, clove and Tagalong cookies, ending peppery but still dark chocolate throughout. Beautiful treatment here. Keeping it dark as the jacket of the Holy Writ. — 6 years ago

This is very good bourbon. Made from a revived heirloom corn in South Carolina and yada yada food geek stuff that’s actually really interesting but... it’s just really delicious bourbon. — 7 years ago

Smells sweet caramel like a bourbon, tastes spicy like a rye — 6 years ago
Batch 40. A little thinner than earlier batches. Delightfully complex nose -- even has some cocoa notes. Strong initial burn that fades into a long finish.
Minor flaws: a sulfur note, maybe from the cognac barrel. Also the sharp heat is a bit more than expected for the 6y+ blend. — 6 years ago
Sweet vanilla with 🌽 undertone. Tropical fruits and baking spices. — 7 years ago
Heritage distilling batch 12 bourbon. This is really nice with good bourbon flavor of caramel, vanilla, spice. A tad hot on the palate, helped with a splash of water. Overall very good. — 7 years ago
