Refosco. The grape may sound like an old blind Italian man's trusty guide dog, but it's sure to impress. Light, fruity, drinkable, and overall delicious. I'm bbq'ing ... And naming my next dog Refosco — 9 years ago
Very nice wine. Blend: 80% Sangovese and 20% Syrah. Syrah adds a nice spiciness. Oak is very visible but well integrated. Old barrel and flashes of wet dog. Become much better the next day, smoother and delicious tannins and the Sangiovese become more relevant. Earth and leather on the nose. Particular fruit on the palate. Silky smooth texture. So elegant. It reminds me of a baby Tignanello. 13% abv — 9 years ago
Love this one. Smells like grass and peppers. It tastes like pineapples, and maybe some hay from the old barnyard. — 10 years ago

Very good would definitely get it again — 9 years ago
Great wines are memories; I visited Porter Creek in 2009 with my childhood friend, Diana. I remember the big, white furry dog in the tasting room; Drank the 2007 on December 10, 2015 sitting in front of my Christmas tree listening to carols with my friend, Christy; Tobacco nose; Rich notes of coffee, dark chocolate, leather — 9 years ago
Wow this 16 year old Riesling was amazing. Dark straw colour. Left 24 hours before drinking and what a treat. — 10 years ago
Herb lamb is never without his dog... — 11 years ago
Made by Jennifer and Herb Lamb, my favorite SB in CA! Blended with 3 clones of SB, they all show through, but, as it should be, the final product is greater than any individual component. They are also HUGE dog lovers! A plus for me. — 11 years ago
That's my dog Zinny in the background. Guess what he's named after? (Hint, it's not Howard Zinn.)
This is a very pure tasting, balanced Zin. Great value at $14. Perfumey brambly black raspberry fruit and a little carrot cake on the nose. Beautifully ripe tangy black raspberry and blackberry fruit in the mouth, with some subtle stony minerals in the finish. Full bodied but with good acids. Not much tannin to speak of. Perfect for everyday dinners. — 9 years ago
A dog of a cepage that works. — 10 years ago
On tap and very carbonated. Candy, caramel, giving way to bitterness. Unfortunately, the nose on this beer is 100% wet dog, and that's a problem. Either that or my mustache smells bad. Edit: it appears as though I had a bad glass. In a different vessel, the nose on this beer is fine. I've adjusted my rating accordingly. — 10 years ago
Very nice. Was the manager's choice, and rightly so! Smooth :) — 11 years ago

It's good. It's good. What's that line about an old dog? — 11 years ago
Andrew Cullimore
Light straw coloured. Quite grassy and asparagus , green pea . Quite fresh, doesn't show the barrel fermenting. Richer with more notice of the oak on the palate. Grass and gooseberry, refreshing . Ok length. Doesn't seem old at all. Might age a few more years, though not a lot of point. — 9 years ago
