Tasted in June 2014: Much more driven by minerals than the 2011. Aromas of cat urine, lavendar, peaches, flint, passion fruit, and tree nuts. Better than the 2012.

Bright grassy notes, lime, grapefruit and crushed rocks are all found in Dog Point's 2013 Sauvignon Blanc. This crisp New Zealand white is an excellent choice for summertime drinking. (AG)

This is a comfortably predictable Sauvignon Blanc the way that Louis C.K.'s performances are comfortably delightful. You hold your breath for a minute to see if it is going to go off track, but then get to breathe out a deep, satisfying, life-affirming confirmation of everything you knew.

Great Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc not the usual overpowering grapefruit notes. Nice herbal notes on the nose, beautiful tropical fruit on the palate.
