2015 for dinner with grilled NY Steaks salt a pepper finish. Fruit on the wine complemented the fat full flavor of the beef but the harmonious touch of dried herbs and an earthiness of mouth feel came together. In a really big sensation of married flavors to hand you the real deal. Beautiful Cabernet. Great wine and flavor combination to remember. Excellent. This was the 2011 PH Beckstoffer Tokalon. Superbly constructed. Layers of fruit and subtle tannins. Approachable but deep and distinct. I can't wait for the opportunity to taste this again. Highly recommended purebred California Cab. — 11 years ago

Low Fruit, vines grown on volcanic soil. Almost has a beautiful ash or smoke quality emerging from it, this is a wine that should age for a while, tannins are nice and exposed. — 9 years ago
