Nose displays tropical fruits along with lemon zest. Beautiful delineation on the mid palate with pineapple, pears and honeycomb. Great viscosity and balance with perfect acidity. Finished sweet and exotic. Outstanding. — 3 months ago
Packs a lot of value for the price! First time trying the ABC Chard and I was impressed. — 3 months ago

Little funky, yeasty — 4 months ago
This is one of my go to wines because it’s classic and goes well with many things. More in the oakier side and slightly heavy but I love the buttery flavor. — 2 months ago

I compared this 2016 BdB to the 2017 Haliotide Late Disgorged BdB to get a feel for styles. Followed over two days with no change.
One of the better Ultramarine wines I’ve had, and definitely pre-funk. I feel like the last few vintages have shown a lot of bottle variation and sometimes a green/herbal profile, mostly in the BdN and BdB (never in the rosé, that’s my favorite wine in the portfolio).
The older vintages always had a distinct cream-soda aromatic to them that I loved, and this has it in spades alongside truffle Honeycomb and spiced apple. Oxidative flair but not an overly oxidative sparkler. Great depth and richness here…almonds, lemon cream, caramel-green apple. Wears the low dosage so well. Broad on the palate (in a good way). I’d be fine drinking this without food. Tasty. — 3 months ago
Wine #1400th for me. I suppose destiny is destiny. Sort of has a special way of it find you, not you find it. Finally was able to try this highly coveted wine and with some age. Great chard, fresh and crisp with hints of stone fruit and citrus plus an earthy finish. Cheers. — 3 months ago
Still holding strong after a decade — 3 months ago
Dark ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cassis, licorice, and plum. Plus body, plus tannins, plus acid. While strong, balanced, and elegant, it opens up with a soft, round palate. Exemplary Napa red. 68 Cab Sauv, 28 Merlot, 2 Cab Franc, 2 Petit Verdot. — 5 months ago
One word for this wine is concentration. Medium yellow. It radiates from the dark and fascinating profile of hazelnut and almond skin with enough acidity and oak integration to have none of the downside. I hate the expression but as manly of a chardonnay as it gets — 2 months ago
History dates back to 1995 when on a lark, David Swift Phinney took a friend up on an offer & went to Florence, Italy to spend a semester “studying”. During that time, he was introduced to wine, how it was made, & got hooked. A Grenache, Syrah & Petite Sirah blend. Aromas of fresh ripe red fruits with floral & spice. On the palate flavors of cherry & raspberry with cacao & espresso notes on sweet savory soft tannins, well balanced, lingering finish ending with fruit & toasty oak. Nice! Consistent Quality! — 3 months ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Deep Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits, oak and floral notes, Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah, and Petite Sirah added to enhance the Cabernet’s deep colors. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plums with cedar and spice. Firm grippy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and mineral character! — a month ago
