Delicious Spanish red. My friendly neighborhood wine merchant brought it to me as I was checking out and insisted I give it a try. Why not, I thought? It was only $11.
I was so surprised by the ripened red fruits and silky smooth finish. This is that perfect red to pair with foods which are usually paired with whites. Incredibly versatile and food friendly. Not near as heavy as our trusty cabs, but still with that red wine umph we all know and love. — 6 years ago
Ocean Spray Cranraspberry on the nose. Deep cooked red fruit on the palate. This is decieving wine where the nose doesn't reflect the palate at all. The nose is nice though... — 7 years ago
Delicious! Paired well with a cheeseburger and fried chicken!! Ps: must visit Saltbox, such a neighborhood gem! 🍷 — 8 years ago
We love this wine! We found the White version (Chardonnay) in a very nice restaurant in our neighborhood in Ibiza and than found the same wine in one particular store. We bought the bottle of red immediately when we saw it standing next to it. We now always drive to the other side of the island to get it. It such a delicate nice and warming red wine! For only €6,25 it's worth the ride!! — 8 years ago
Big, heavy tannins. Purchased in neighborhood market in Barcelona. Great deal at 9 euros — 9 years ago
In 1879, 2 brothers decided to set up a wine business, C.V.N.E., Compañía Vinicola del Norte de España (Northern Spanish Wine Company) or la Cuné, as it is commonly known in Haro, was created and still kept in traditional neighborhood of Haro station today. Deep Ruby with ripe berry aromas and complex spices, 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo. On the palate blackberry, cherry and sweet currant with herb, leather and pepper spice. Fine tannins, well balanced good depth and structure on a long finish. — 4 years ago
Had this wine at MIDA in Boston (great little neighborhood spot). Paired so well with their octopus. Just delightful. Full bodied but not too forward. A great blend pleasing palettes around the table. — 7 years ago
Who says 2011 was a bad year? Beautiful garnet from the glass. Elegant floral and blue fruit on the nose. Deep blueberry, black berry and currant tastes on the palate. Excellently structured with sweet tannins and beautiful acidity. These grapes come from a great Oakville neighborhood. Great family owned winery! — 8 years ago
Had their Torrette in Vernazza and loved it. Just saw this at a neighborhood wine store. Fumin almost as good. Smoky, peppery. Really nice value. — 9 years ago
Good wine near my neighborhood... — 5 years ago
Château Lafleur-Gazin is situated between Château Lafleur and Château Gazin, and its immediate neighbor is Petrus - I bet that’s one hell of a neighborhood potluck. Currant, cocoa, fig, graphite, and cedar, with a bitter coffee streak that runs through it. — 6 years ago
Delicious find (someone in the neighborhood was actually throwing it away!)! Drank this going from 1016 to 2017. Now it's time for an alcohol break. — 7 years ago
Graziella's- first dinner back in the neighborhood : ) — 8 years ago
2007 Sequum Saramento Pinot (by James MacPhail) and a brand new version of Merry Edwards' fine Sauvignon Blanc made for a lovely evening at Baltimore's Aromes restaurant in the Hampden neighborhood. — 8 years ago
My favorite white. Nicely balanced. Have bought a case.
Side note: the vineyard is charming, retail & tastings housed in a 200 year old stone barn which is located in a National Register listed historic district. Well worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. — 9 years ago
