👄 On the palate, this wine is dry and offers medium(+) acidity, a medium body, high alcohol, medium tannins, and medium(+) intensity of flavors consistent with the nose, including, ripe cherry, raspberry, and red currant, also minty, black tea, anise, clay pot, and dusty stone notes. Also secondary notes of vanilla, nutmeg, clove, cardamom and toast. The finish is medium.

Forgot this wine, no indication of vintage except on the cork! A flashy earthy dark fruited presentation straight out of some wilderness, firm almost woodsy palate and good finish. Not at all what I would have thought of as Gamay. Looked like it didn’t present well several years ago. Age difference? — a month ago
