Never had rosso de montepulciano, I never knew this was a different region then montepulciano. Wife picked this up and it is very good. I got an education from a Tuscan friend about the region I will keep an eye out for rosso de montepulciano wines. — 5 years ago
Full bodied (for its varietal). Black fruit, raspberry jam and a tad of mint on the nose. Balanced mature acidity. Tight, low/medium tannins. An all around excellent specimens of VNdM. — 6 years ago
Remember liking it but that was a few days ago. I do remember tasting oak — 7 years ago

Medium ruby in color; cherries, black pepper, and smoke on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like sour cherries, clay pots, and strawberries with a long finish. It really opened up after decanting for about an hour. Nellie says she likes the flavor, but it's really acidic. Should be great with a creamy pasta. I agree it's too acidic without food. — 8 months ago
Advertised as combination of Chianti aromatics with Brunello boldness and delivered. Cherry and leather notes. Smooth finish with mildly tart and tannic notes. — 10 months ago
Nov 4, 2020. Patio wine tasting w/ Carl. This is a lovely Tuscan red. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo Nero. Not much fruit left, plenty of earth and leather. — 3 years ago

Definite dark cherry. My bottle was well balanced. Not too acidic or tannin forward. Would love to drink this again. I always do well with Montepulciano. — 8 months ago
Very pleasant in its own and with Italian pasta dinner. Plum and cherry mid/after with low tannin finish. — 3 years ago

Very drinkable...paired nicely with pasta and fish. — 5 years ago
Reminiscent of Siena. Dusty musty nose. On the palate I get white pepper with a hint of anise in the back. Strawberry emerges on the finish with fairly balanced tannins. Quite good.
