Sneaky medium tannins that assert on the finish. A nice intro to the “Duke” of Tuscan Sangiovese-based wines. Not quite as structured as higher-priced offerings, but that’s good for the novice. Drink now through 2024.

Aromas of tart fruit and spicy tobacco notes. On the palate simple flavors of raspberry and cherry with tar and pepper spice. Grippy tannins, medium finish ending with pungent spice. Ok for price but better out there.

Flavorful and yummy! Would drink again. Visited this region on my honeymoon! Bought for that reason and was not disappointed.

This wine grew on me as the bottle progressed. Fruity, floral, and very light on the tongue. Strong tobacco flavor on the nose. It was okay, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to buy again.

Full bodied (for its varietal). Black fruit, raspberry jam and a tad of mint on the nose. Balanced mature acidity. Tight, low/medium tannins. An all around excellent specimens of VNdM.
