The consensus among Biblical scholars is that Jesus turned water into pinot noir for his first miracle. This bottle confirms that, even though it doesn’t quite reach the quality served at Cana that fateful day. — 6 years ago

Bordeaux calls the 2016, the miracle vintage. After reading about the 2016 vintage in Bordeaux I settled on Chateau Talbot. Dark inky in color, medium bodied, Lapins cherries, plums and a hint of anise. — 6 years ago

A Thanksgiving miracle! Was so worried that this bottle corked by the staining on the cork, but is all ended well! The fruit is barely there on this bottle from my favorite vineyard (Volcanic Hill) from Diamond Creek. Still an immense presence and complexity after decanting for 4 hours. Time had made this bottle a little more delicate than the others, but unmistakable Diamond Creek. Glasses were raised to Al and Boots as the vineyard has now been bought by Roederer. I believe it is in food hands. — 5 years ago

On open this is sick. Deep minerals. Some apple. Really dense. Perfumed.
Palate is almost a sweet fruit. Great minerality. Wow.
Bought from fass selections.
An hour in - Petrified flowers. Silky. Elegant juice. Green apple flower crunchy acids. Holy holy holy crap.
Like drinking perfume capsules of aromatics. As this opens this is a miracle. Like drinking perfume if it tasted good.
A Bucket list wine. — 6 years ago
Côtes Catalanes as of this vintage. Riesling-like stone fruit blossoms, lime leaf, galangal, lemongrass, chamomile. Savory and saline, then tender and refined. 12% alc. A miracle, given the blazing hot growing season. #rocdesanges #roussillon #côtescatalanes — 7 years ago

Beautifully Salty, sort of pear/ Green apple goodness. On a hot August eve, that funk is quite refreshing.
