Absolutely Devine Chardonnay. Velvety butter and great acidity balance. Incredible legs. The smell is really hard for@me@to pin down - new spring maple leaf and summer ocean air randomly come to mind - don't even ask. I don't know why. Just good memories... @David Langstaff @Lee Langstaff @Meredith Langstaff β 10 years ago
2006. 8yr old Zin from Lodi. This used to be a bruiser of a wine. Now it's quite balanced, nuanced, and at the end of its life. Very vegetal with green bean and English pea aromas, balsam, and tasting of an amalgam of stewed raisined cherry, black currant , oak, mushroom, and white pepper. 16.5%abv. β 11 years ago

Now this is a good Zinfandel. 15 percent alcohol, but you cannot feel much.
Smooth and not too bold. Red fruit on the nose and longer spicy finish. Long legs out of the bottle.
I need to give it an hour and see what evolves. Long, spicy finish with medium tannins.

Probably a bit overpriced, but it's delicious nonetheless. Wild berry jam, smooth tannin structure. β 9 years ago
