Jammy, fruit forward. Met this wine at Carrabba’s but sipping on it at Whole Foods :-)
Easy to drink. Had a Meiomi Pinot Noir and this is so much friendlier on the budget! — 6 years ago
2016 - Fruity bouquet; medium body with fruity finish. Worth revisiting at $19.79 from Safeway; better than Meiomi, which is an easy drinking Pinot. — 7 years ago
Good golly miss Molly!!! Meiomi move over. Big brother takes over!! Damn, again I am faced with loving a more expensive vino but ooh its so worth it. Melts in your mouth lovely. This wine is foreplay... for your filet mignon, New York strip or Porterhouse. Sorry not big on the long nose of some reds but occasionally deep dive.....I’m a novice to many of you wine connoisseurs am just expressing my emotional connection to the experience. — 8 years ago
The empty nest is full for the weekend celebrating Haley's 22nd. She asked if we had Meiomi, umm no. This was a good way to help her understand what real pinot is all about. Berries, nice acid and well balanced. A great value. — 8 years ago
I love love love this. Surprise hit with myself. I thoroughly enjoyed it and commented on it repeatedly through dinner. Will have it again when entertaining myself. — 5 years ago
Pretty good — 7 years ago
Great red wine. Similar to Meiomi. — 7 years ago
Light to start the night — 7 years ago
Really liked it. Easy, smooth, like Meiomi — 8 years ago
So I've come down off the Silver Oak high, and settled into this Oregon Pinot. This is a goto by-the-glass option for me at J. Marks. Not quite as fruit-forward as its competitor Meiomi, but really expressive flavor here. Markedly different from the CA North Coast Pinots. Im a fan. Paired with Black Diamond Aged Cheddar. — 9 years ago
Quite good. Very solid. Nothing distinctive. I’d pick it Over a $40 or even $60 can any day. Not sure it is worth 2x Meiomi, but it is definitely better. — 6 years ago
Very solid bubbly at the under $20 price. Medium bubbles w a nice mousse. A touch of grassiness and a touch of dry and grassy flavors. I’m not getting the sweetness people have commented on. Nice stuff. I’d go w Roederer over this in a heartbeat at same price but this is intriguing. Also made a great French 75 after a glass by itself. — 6 years ago
Very nice Pinot for $16.👌🏽 My new “go to” in place of Meiomi. — 8 years ago
Easy drinking pinot. Similar to Meiomi pinot in quality. — 8 years ago
very strong berry, smooth short finish. for price, prefer meiomi — 9 years ago
Continuing on with my sub-$20 exploration of grocery store Pinot Noir.
This was in the limited selection bin, meaning it won't be around for long. I had never heard of it, but guessed correctly that it was a product of @Sebastiani Vineyards. Having just written a little missive about enjoying their wines earlier, I thought why not? It's too cold to ship wine so I'm stuck with what I gots unless I get locally.
Against Meiomi, which I presume is its main competitor, this is more translucent in the glass. The strawberry notes dominate a bit more. The tannins are quite fine. Not very complex and not a long finish. Nevertheless, still a pleasant glass. — 9 years ago
