Today another pinot the 2013 Elouan Pinot Noir. This wine is bottled in St. Helena, CA but I believe the grapes are sourced from Oregon. This is brought to you by the Wagner Family and along the lines of the Meiomi Pinot and in drinking it you can see the similarities in the two. The nose is weak but can still make out cherry, raspberry and a dusty soil. The palate shows me tart cherries, rasperry, sassafras, milk chocolate, creamy caramel and a floral note. There is a good medium fresh acidity, smooth tannins and a good long finish. I do like this wine and I purchased for $23.99.

Please Wagners... Leave Oregon alone. These are not the droids you are looking for.

Not the wagners finest... Not bad but nothing special to it. Very light and easy going.

The Wagners take another steaming dump, this time in Oregon.

Elouan blends the top Pinot Noir regions together to craft a richer style Pinot. Deep Ruby with red fruit and sweet spice aromas. On the palate lively acidity gives strength to the wines structure showing off red cherry fruits with vanilla spice and fine tannins. Very nice value. Tasting Sample (also tasted 2014).

More Wagner than Oregon. To each their own I guess.

Major potential for cheeseburger Wine of the Year- 'Budget Category'.

Delightful & bright cherry on the nose leads to a pleasant and balanced palate with plenty of stewed cherry and surprising depth for the dollar. Overall it's easy-going, and representative of the stellar vintage that 2013 provided for what seems to be all of the Oregon Pinot ;).
