Great, simple table wine. Abundant fruit without any sweetness. Perfect amount of oak smokiness to add character without being overpowering. Wonderful expression of NY winemaking. Reminds me of great homemmade wine! — 7 years ago
Always really enjoyed this producer, wish we could see more on the market, love the citrus intensity mixed with the classic lactic quality. Great stuff. — 9 years ago
Nice. Covers all the bases: leather, cedar, gravel. Still had some fruit as well. Alcohol a bit noticeable on a otherwise good finish. Why aren't there more library releases from petit chateau on the market? — 9 years ago

Very enjoyable, but not a great value given other cheaper blends on the market — 6 years ago
Pretty pumped to find some Envinate wines at a little wine shop in the heart of Seattle. Grabbed this guy to see what all the hubbub about Ribeira Sacra is all about - and it did not disappoint. 85% Mencia with a field blend of local varieties rounding it out. Gorgeous alluring nose of fresh market black cherries, cherry candy, violet, and a bit of musky earth. Beautiful crunchy red fruit and textured cinnamon/clove spice plus a bit of graphitey (we’re gunna pretend that’s a word) minerality. Beautiful wine, and again, very gluggable. Wish I had more of this. — 7 years ago
When my pal, Ian Cauble, MS, tells me it's the best rose on the market, I figured I had to try it. He was right. Typical Bandol complexity, bone dry, strawberry, and much more. Great for pairing with food. — 9 years ago
Soter's 2012 Mineral Springs 'White Label' Pinot Noir has a rather unique story in that it is crafted from an unidentified "heirloom" clone. Who cares what the clone is, the results are spectacular. The perfect combination of concentration and finesse, the nose is a romp through a damp and earthy forest glen, fields of lavender, and then to the market, to find juicy blackberries and blueberries at their peak. Equally lush, almost brooding on the palate, with underlying layers of minerality and spice. Pinot reserved for the white label is aged 12 months on 50% new French oak, with 30 days extended maceration and minimal racking. 14.0% ABV — 10 years ago

Tim’s Wine Market. $68. Marc de Grazia night. — 6 years ago
Classic Provence style- raspberry, peach, and some lovely stoney minerality. Light, crisp and refreshing. For the price, a bottle it's hard to imagine a better South of France rosé on the market — 7 years ago
Sorry for being AWOL. But I bring tidings of great joy. The 2014 is out! (So is Bogle Phantom. More later! I just kiss on the first date!) I love Le Fiacre du Pape. Hands down one of the best values -- and most under the radar -- wines on the market. Brought to me many vintages ago by Señor Haro, a formidable presence in the wine world. The 2014 has great fruit, with a nice meaty backdrop. Lots of bacon fat and mushroom. Awesome. Unlike past years a bit tannic. Needs to breathe! Always one to have on hand. — 8 years ago
