Nose has recently cut yellow apple, fresh pineapple, cane sugar and faint beeswax.
Palate has tart/under-ripe pineapple/yellow apple, lemon zest with mild chalky notes; plenty of acid to keep the palate lively. A great vintage for white Burgundy; A standout bottle from a heavily diminished case.

Paired with boneless chicken thighs, gnocchi, Parmesan cream sauce and kale from the garden (picked today, January!).

Dolium

Gran Reserva Single Vineyard Malbec 2002

The single vineyard here was the Marchiori vineyard that Paul Hobbs made famous under the Viña Covid label. He used the Dolium winery for a few years before he opened his own. Still shows quite well. — 9 months ago

All fleshy blueberry. Seems classically high pH to me and yet has a surprisingly fresh finish. Paired with cast iron sirloins and chimichurri. — 2 years ago
