Very well done white wine. It comes from an area where the climate helps building freshness and aromas. Tried cold but very nice also at room temperature. Not only citrus fruit, but also white peach on the nose/palate. — 6 years ago

Crème brûlée, caramel delight, candied apricots/raisins, and toffee. So delicious. Coravin sample; ready to age another 10 years. — 4 years ago
Dark ruby red to the edge. Dry full bodied with nice balance of fruit and tannins. — 5 years ago
The 2015 ‘Oakville’ Cabernet Sauvignon is showing marvelously at its early stage in development. Needing a one hour decant to fully arouse, the wine slowly reveals ripe dark currants with tar and anise aromatics that take shape in the glass. The palate shows a excellent power and acidity with intense dark fruits, and shades of creme de cassis and Turkish coffee. Enjoyable now in its youth, this will continue to evolve over the next fifteen years. Drink 2019-2033 — 6 years ago
Aromas of dark plums, wet leaves, and pencil lead; with added smokey and deep flavors of tobacco, dark chocolate, and maybe a hint of potpourri! The tannins are beefy yet elegant and evolved, and with the bright acidity and high alcohol (14.5%) means this is a “big” Super Tuscan. — 7 years ago
Deeper , less garnet , narrower rim . Quite meaty , coffee and dark fruit , blackcurrant nose . On the palate more soy , coffee , cassis and black fruits , more fresh and vibrant than the G de L , higher quite raspy tannin too . Refreshing acidity , still quite young , needs time in decanter . Nice balanced finish , showing more fresh cassis and dark cherry . This could go further , and I feel there may well be better bottles out there that maybe more fruit driven .. 91? — 2 years ago
This Italian white has a most interesting presence in the glass. The pale yellow liquid has a nose which is quite herbaceous, showing notes of sage, anise and oregano. The palate brings forth some citrus fruit - Meyer lemon - and a boatload of minerals and salinity. There is quite a racy acidity, too. Like a good Vermentino should, the wine leaves a sense of the seashore on the finish. — 3 years ago
Enjoyable, solid value Brunello Di Montalcino at €22 across Milan train station. Notes of cherry plum and blackberry fruits combine with a complex mixture of smokey vanilla undergrowth which imparts earthy leather undertones. Medium body. Decent 2hr min, as there are strong tannins (Also probably drinking this a few years young) for a 2014 in 2020. — 5 years ago

An interesting and fruity #Syrah. Enjoyed this bottle on an unexpectedly stormy day on the Cape, so it was fitting given the weather. Here, the bottle is pictured posing with a garish sculpture found in our Airbnb. Needless to say, we preferred the bottle to the sculpture. 🗿 — 7 years ago

This wine is medium dark, with a bit of light getting through the glass. The nose presents a savory show of spice and fruit. Blackberry and plum aromas are joined by oak spice, earth and coffee notes. The palate has plenty of that dark fruit, but also plenty of that savory side. Good acidity and firm tannins refresh the mouthfeel. The finish is medium. This is a great wine to pair with pork or roasted chicken, but I think it would also be nice with turkey on the Thanksgiving table.
