Tasting with Valette and Foillard — 6 years ago
— 7 years ago
We had dinner with friends at Valette in Healdsburg. A very good Pinot. — 8 years ago
Very interesting, well priced, #cabfranclover #merlot — 9 years ago
High flavour intensity, a bit bigger bodied than optimal, but balanced by a high acidity. It feels slightly less fresh than just over a year ago, alcohol is a bit more prominent at the moment. — 5 years ago
"Wrong end of the horse." Loamy.
Great barnyard flavors, really well balanced. — 6 years ago
Easy going, fruity. I think slightly dry. — 7 years ago
Thia bottle was opened at Valette in Healdsburg, CA. Chef Dustin prepared a special matching tasting menu to pair with this beauty. The genius of crafting wine that tastes so good some 37 years after the fact still boggles the mind. Smooth glycerine integration of cedary petrol notes complemented fresh cut camomile flower and ripe cherries - I mean what? How did these youthful notes survive after all these years. Such an incredible wine. — 8 years ago

A real treat, 12 years in oak barrel, makes this wine deep yellow, rust, honey. — 5 years ago
