A great light red to drink after cleaning out closets on Labor Day Weekend! Found it in an Italian grocery in Annapolis. Paired well with hatch chile mac n cheese! — 7 years ago
Beautifully colored ruby red almost purplish wine. Tremendous black fruit, strawberry and very slight pepper on the nose. Being almost 10 years old, it exhibits a long finish with enjoyable medium firm tannins. Medium viscosity with bright acidity on the palate. The terroir is distinct from the other Rhône stars appellations. Paired excellently with duck. — 8 years ago

One of the great values in the wine world. Dark fruit, acid, spice. Layers of flavor, fantastic with food. Delicious. — 9 years ago
Fiiiinalllyyy!!!! I got the chance to taste it! And OMG, it just has that perfect harmony! And the light style with those red fruits... Perfect!

Been sick for a week, not all the way better, but today is Valentine’s Day and we’re having wine with dinner. Aromatics are alluring with high toned red fruit & a black tea note. The palate shows beautifully ripe red fruit leading to darker spicier notes and a textural tannic grip. Lots to unpack over the years with this as these 16’s will only get better with time. Happy Valentine’s Day! — 6 years ago
Very good, smooth Rhône, easy drinking. Delicious, not too heavy — 7 years ago
Looooooved this. So bouncy and so pine-y! I drank it cold, like past the point of chilled, because no wine fridge or central air, and I thought it was perfect that way? — 7 years ago
Ohhhh texture!!! — 8 years ago
Fresh, slightly green (stems?), primary. Warm fermentation? Quite lean on the palate. A bit more fruit would help. Very clear but a bit lacking in beauty or lushness. — 9 years ago
Stinky, reductive, needs lots of air & time to breath. Funky cab franc which many won't like. — 10 years ago
Great price point. Very light — 6 years ago

Low yields in Northern Rhône 2013, but the quality of the fruit is prevalent here. Structured and well-integrated fine grained tannins at the five year mark. The nose explodes out of the glass with finesse and doused complexities. Definitive Syrah nuances of black raspberries, black plums, black olives, fresh cut violets, cracked black pepper, Indian spices, grilled and smoked meats, and stone dust. Light weight but packs a continuous release of flavors. Nose and palate changes from fruit to floral to spicy to meaty. As you move to different areas and rooms the wine changes. The more air it gets, the more meat starts hanging out. Complex indeed for a $20 bottle. Great showing. — 7 years ago

mmmm. started out super funky, dark juicy fruit, milky. as it sat for a minute it warmed up and got more tannic and chewy. say medium tannin, balanced by medium acids and dryness. definitely bolder but not overwhelmingly so. super enjoyable. i love seb david ❤️ — 6 years ago
