Impressive! Clear Côte-Rotie character, full of flavour but light/easy on the palate. Lean style. Fruit forward, smoked meat, flowers & olives. The whole CR package, everything is there. Made in the semi-carbonique way, fermentation at 10 degrees Celsius, regular pigéage to avoid reduction. Aged in used barrels for two years. 10% Viognier. Brilliant wine! — 9 years ago

Very chique 'nose' on this wine, impressive like a Côte Rotie. Lures me in like a beautiful siren. On the palate the feeling is much lighter though. Likable? For sure, but keep on smelling for maximum pleasure. The grapes are grown on the hills surrounding CR. And by the way: 'sereines' is also an old denomination for Syrah. — 10 years ago
