Special wines for a special occasion! Happy anniversary to my beloved partner in wine!
Initially a bit closed and was thrown off but after about 5mins in the glass the intensity picked up notably. Pears, apples, hint of honey followed by balanced acidity that complement the nose and palate. Kept picking up volume with every glass. — 7 years ago
Thank you @Benoit Touquette This is a very special wine for me. One of my favorites of all time and I was not disappointed last night. — 8 years ago

Big wine, very modern and a bit sticky but still classy pedigree — 9 years ago
Cloudy light yellow / straw. Bruised apple. Yeasty. Delicious. My favorite chenin of the night — 9 years ago
Ripe berries, blue- and strawberries with tannins to supply a lattice for the seductive flavours. Elegant acidity. — 10 years ago

And on the 3rd day it showed the best — 11 years ago
Earth, sweet strawberry, floral, leather, clove, acid keeps it fresh tasting, light in texture. I would drink up — 12 years ago

Pre and Post Yom Kippur wine. I forgave @Benoit Touquette for all his sins!!! Haha. Extraordinary effort. This wine gets better with each vintage. — 8 years ago

Hints of mint on the nose. Clean slate, wet pebbles, dry citrus. Very nice for when austerity is in order, no excessive flowers or fruit juice here. Proper. — 9 years ago

A delicious wine that should show even more in the next few years. With notes of kirsch and black currant, this soft, but complex wine is delicious. It has slight herbaceous undertones that round out the fruit forwardness. Probably one of the better Chat. Du Papes from this vintage. — 11 years ago
A nice Beaujolais from a vintage that I don’t usually love compared to 2014/2016. Definitely better with an hour or so in a decanter to let the tannins integrate a bit more. Dark purple in the glass - darker than expected. Nice cherry aromas. Still could resolve a bit more on the finish but with a slight chill is nice. — 7 years ago
Smokey leather and raspberry, velvety smooth on the palate. A hint of oak in the nose. — 8 years ago
Still youthful garnet color. Almost opaque. Fruit forward nose with notes of black cherry, rhubarb, brambly brush, moist earth and a little menthol. Fruit matches the acidity and delivers amazing balance. Another 96 that seems to have come around. A few years the acidity was too much to handle, but now it’s got a nice balance. — 8 years ago
Mad genius @Benoit Touquette — 8 years ago
Very nice white burg, especially for the price. Good example of the aligote grape's potential when done right. Mouth filling with waves of flavor, quite precise, excellent acid and minerality. — 9 years ago
Enjoyed at Nico. Very tasty. — 11 years ago
This is a silkier, more elegant vintage of the Chapelle, at least relative to the 2010, which was really in my zone, as well as the 2009, which I found over-the-top, but in both cases I think there was more stuffing there than here. This would've shown better if I'd opened it with white meat or even fish or something else where a lightweight presence and loose-knit structure is called for. It's an excellent wine in that idiom but lacks some of the solidity and grip it has offered in other years. It's not imbalanced at all, and the trademark stony mineral flavors are still here, it's just a slimmer version of its usual self. — 11 years ago
Soy, white pepper, aircraft carrier of big plum jam and cranberry, a touch of heat on the finish, gentle allusions to leather, long way to go but good juice — 12 years ago
