Now this is what I’m talking about! Wonderful! Dark purple color. 1+ hour decant and could use even more. Drinking beautifully but still has years left in it! Massive cigar box on the nose. Wine is very Bordeaux like as it is deep, well structured, and has an excellent balance of fruit and smoke. If you drink it fast it tastes like the best bbq in the world! Long finish. An amazing Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. The bouquet was floral and earthy; beautifully pleasant on the nose. I'd fall in love with a woman wearing this as a perfume. Incredibly well balanced on the palate. Berries and cherries envelope and swaddle the tongue. Slightly tannic, but instantly drinkable. A long smooth finish follows each swallow. Is there a better wine for roast chicken than Loire cabernet franc? Rhetorical question, of course. 2011 so tight, even after two hour decant. It slowly unveils its charms, like Jo Fiennes unwinds Gwen Paltrow in the otherwise forgettable "Shakespeare in Love". Unlike that film, this has staying power.
