2016. Smokey Hollow. Old Mission Peninsula. What a very pleasant and enjoyable surprise. This was a light tart and refreshing wine. Light golden color and light citrus aroma. A little sweetness and apple flavor that went very well with an eclectic dinner including ribs with Carolina sauce and red pepper, Pa Dutch sweet & sour Mac salad m, bok choi and kimchee. Tough menu but the wine came through with flying colors. Really very good! — 7 years ago

Quite the surprise. Half expecting oxidation and a synthetic cork and experience with previous Riesling but this one held up nicely. Nice golden color and the tropical floral fruit oily notes carrying through with some minerals for balance and that touch of sweetness. Great pairing for the hot pot of beef pork salmon and veggies! First ever attempt and it’s perfect. 10% ABV and polished off two thirds of bottle! — 5 years ago
My favourite Cotes de Bourg wine & after having the yummy 2010 & 14 recently I wondered if a 19 year old top vintage @ £98 would hold well & yes it sure didly 😉 88 points from Parker 🤣 but not worth it’s hefty price tag 🤑

Amazing Sangiovese- perfect with a Tomahawk for two (and killer Mac and Cheese) — 7 years ago
So floral, talcy and even slightly rose watery with orchid fruits playing second fiddle. Pretty. Offers a touch of sweetness at 10grams, but balance is all there, one would barely notice — 10 years ago
Best Charnat method wine I have tasted . This is serious and interesting . English wines are killing it right now . Very good — 5 years ago

Delectable told me I drank this exact wine 4 years straight after it had been bottled.
4 years later and my love was rekindled.

Wonderful wonderful expression of Chardonnay from Mac Forbes clearly on a great site and judicious winemaking. Wish I’d decanted for longer as the flavours just kept developing... — 5 years ago
