Intensely aromatic Alsatian Grwurtz. Medium golden color. Expessive honeysuckle, dried rose petals, dried lavender, sweet spices and tropical fruits on the nose. The complex palate features Asian melon, guava and apricot fruit along with notes of those sweet spices and honey. A bit of mineral on the long and luxurious finish. Slightly oily texture. 2005 vintage on De 20, 2017 at Sun River, OR with skillet roasted lemon chicken (Ina Garten). Tasted alongside a 1999 Raptor Ridge Shea Vineyard to compare and contrast. Elegant and mature C-d-Pape at the peak of its life. Fully developed with a lot of great life left but also no need to wait to drink. This why we love C-d-Pape.
