Beautiful honey aroma. Lavender.
Pale ale color.
Recommended by the Somm who said he begged his boss to get it on the menu. He described it as a wine that the snobs love to hate, but that is super idiosyncratic with this varietal, which just made me want to get it for us even more.
Date night with bae (at Loring Place) means we must have orange wine, so we settled on this one.
Nice bubbles, balances with a pleasant acidity. Nice tart finish. Bee pollen. Wildflowers and orange zest. — 4 years ago
Light and bright. A little too light for me. Black fruit. Red cherry. Not as robust as previous vintages, if I recall correctly but still solid. Loring consistently delivers. — 6 years ago
Yes, it's a screw top Pinot, but one of best. Dark fruits(Santa Rita Hills) with a nice long finish. We found this winery a few years back on a wine trip with the Kennedys. Brian Loring was the original winemaker. Yum. — 7 years ago

Very nice, berry, chocolate and spice flavors. Heavier than most Pinot noirs but livelier as well — 5 years ago
A bit green yet showcasing everything necessary for an enjoyable experience with a Pinot Noir. Bright red fruit, light acidity, lush mouth feel and smooth, crisp finish. Must have! — 5 years ago
Very nice and approachable Pinot. Different in style from the Loring wines but still well made. No sharp edges, soft and subtle fruit with a more savory edge than loring style. Well priced and definitely worth the case purchase. — 6 years ago
Good Pinot. The fruit tasted a little cooked, there wasn't much complexity, and the acidity had really faded. I expected more from LWC, especially in a great vintage. — 7 years ago
Another excellent Loring Pinot…this one Sierra Mar vs earlier Gary’s vineyard…clear vs the Gary’s being muddy, straight up cherry on the nose but still refined, solid fruit but not overwhelming. — 3 years ago
Very enjoyable wine with cola, spice and red fruit notes in nose and taste — 3 years ago
Overwhelming bee pollen, a sweet rawness in the bouquet. Clementines. The childhood memory of the fragrance of running through an unkempt garden. Rose thorns.
Intense minerality. Limestone. Soil that births luscious fruit. The musk of nature, starting with a tangerine envelope of flavor and ending with a distinct pungency of grapefruit.
First had this at Loring Place in the West Village. Love it at home, too. — 4 years ago

Somehow it looks like I haven’t reviewed this yet despite halfway thru the batch and possibly my favorite ever Pinot?? Powerful fruit on the nose but far more nuanced on the palate - superb expression of the grape. More recent vintages no worse for the (lack of) wear.
