Cotta Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2017

Cherry and earth but so mouth drying. Tannins need a lot of time to integrate. Hard to rate at this point, probably excellent down the road. — 2 years ago

Principato

Inky black with hardly any ageing on the rim.
Needs a bit of time to blow the age stink off… the shows ripe dark fruit, some kirsch, but also some age sowing with balsamic notes, a bit leather & roast.
On the palate this is not shy, full bodied, quite powerful, with still quite a tannic frame. Big, rich & ageing… which actually makes it interesting.
Quite nice with a simple barbecue.

Colli Orientali del Friuli Tocai Friulano

Superb White from Northern Italy! Very Aromatic. Green grass, floral, and stone fruit. Great texture and a slight minerality, lemon, and herbs. This would make a great everyday white. — 4 years ago
