Very good wine. Smooth, not to dry, definitely can tell it's a Zen! BlackBerry and plum with a smooth finish — 8 years ago
Cherry. Oak. Smooth tannins. Round body. Easy finish — 8 years ago
Very rich with flavor. More flavor then the regular red ménage a trois. Both are great! — 9 years ago
Still a lot of life left despite the vintage. After decanting for an hour it is hard to find any flaw with it. — 10 years ago
like the fruitiness with the espresso finish. Very nice, especially with Kroger selling it for half price! — 10 years ago
Liked it a lot, but not for the price. Total wine. $62 — 10 years ago
Pop and pour. Black cherry, kirsch, black licorice, and some wood smoke both on the nose and palate. Deep ruby color, medium body. A nice impression of fruit—big, but not as heavy as expected. Medium tannins, medium acids, but they linger onto the finish. A decent wine, with better-than-average complexity. I'd get half a case of this and be quite happy... — 12 years ago
Very good Pinot Noir and reasonably priced. — 13 years ago
A little dry but light on tannins, currant, pepper, smooth finish. — 5 years ago
Very different experience from typical reds. Dry, light, very clean. Good try for cab lovers. — 7 years ago
So subtle - dried orange peel, potpourri and creamed corn - a delight, thank Hugh — 8 years ago
Good combo of fruit and spice. Easy to drink and good price point. — 9 years ago

One of our favorite wineries to stop at when we visit Sonoma. Black cherry and blueberry. — 9 years ago
What a difference an hour decant makes! Pitch black in the glass. Barnyard funk on the nose. Blackberry and leather mid-palate. Lots going on with this wine and time will only improve this vintage. Tart cherry and cranberry on the finish. Firm tannins and quite dry. — 10 years ago
The splashy label gave me pause and I approached with caution, but once I tasted, I was hooked. Fruity and warm without being a fruit bomb. Strong finish with stewed fruit and a hint of star anise. I would enjoy this all night solo hit it begs for food. — 12 years ago
