Day 2 notes. Nose of blueberry and blackberry, granite and graphite. Dark and rich but super mineral as well. Palate is energetic and fresh but also dark and rich with blackberry and blueberry galore. Young and disjointed as it was yesterday but it’s all there. Check back in 5 years — 2 years ago

@Delectable Wine Why is there so much shouting on this label? I mean it's great, but I prefer understated 😉. — 2 years ago
Moussé is known for its Pinot Meunier yet this is 100% Chardonnay from a vineyard that was not well suited for Meunier due to the particularly deep soil. I found this to be a delight with lemon-lime citrus of tremendous precision. Minerals like it was San Pellegrino and a long finish. More chiseled than rich. So refreshing. What an amazing grape is Chenin Blanc. We had a delicious dry version from WA earlier in the week and now this gorgeous 39 year old Vouvray from the Loire Valley in half bottle. Not really sweet enough to be called a dessert style - spatlese at best. Mid to pale gold. Toasty notes with pear and mouldy apple. On the palate incredibly fresh and vibrant for its age. Notes of pineapple and a little acid to keep it going in the cellar if desired but hard to beat right now. A great accompaniment to foie gras. One of the 1001 Wines. A wonderful experience. — 9 months ago
Top ! — 4 years ago
Shimmering magenta. Expressive red/blue fruit and licorice aromas show excellent clarity and pick up mineral and exotic spice flourishes as the wine opens up. Broad and fleshy on entry, offers concentrated boysenberry, bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors that tighten up and become sweeter with air. The blue floral note carries strongly through an impressively long, focused finish that's shaped by smooth, harmonious tannins. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, October 2019) — 6 years ago
Superb crisp, grapefruit,, peach, mineralogy — 7 years ago
Needs time to open. It is too stiff and oaky in the beginning but softens with time. Another bottle of wine that would complement food like veal chop or something — 7 years ago
