Love this rare bottling from d’ Epire. So classy. Nose is almond slices, minerals, lanolin and tweed. Palate is so nimble and elegant. Juicy and so clean with tremendous concentration and sap. Long, toothsome finish with flavors of pear and some apple. Intense, and super vivid with an almost tannic like finish. My goodness this has the structure to age decades. Truly young but profound. Amazing length and such an elegant waxiness. Stunning wine. After air the nose is so detailed and just frankly stunning. So refined. White flowers and freshly sliced almonds that are so vivid. Palate is so round and elegant. 9.5 to 9.6. So long and sapid. Super acids. So long. Profound. — 2 years ago

Takes a little while to open up but blossoms beautifully with bruised dark berry fruit, forrest floor, unwashed beetroot, rich stony soils d damp geraniums.
Palate has a wonderful freshness to it without being too light weight or lacking in fruit concentration. Black berry fruit is riper than you’d think from the nose and there’s a lovely stony minerality on the mid palate and finish that also shows an attractive sappidity, fine tannins, ripe acidity gives it drive.
