Chilled this burgundy felt restrained, minimal, and one dimensional. As it opened up though, paired with a delicious bouillabaisse, escargot and the best foie gras I’ve ever had, thus started to really come into its own. Medium body, a refined minerality but with delicious notes of crisp apple, baking spice, and an some richer, pastry like notes on the finish, this wine truly came into its own with some warmth and time. Single vineyard "Les Belles Voyes" in the famous Grand Cru hillside of Oger. Pale lemon with fine creamy mousse and tiny rapid bubble flow, long lees aging. aromas stone fruits and blossom, bread dough and citrus. On the palate flavors of golden apple, peach, lemon citrus and honeysuckle with biscuit toast and nutty notes. Long finish, full-body ending with biscuit, mineral and citrus character. Smelled like fresh baked pizza out of the oven at first pour. Continued to give off plenty of funky and herbaceous character for a couple days. So much savory character here backed with bubbles. A unique thing yes — 6 years ago
Wow, so much character and personality in this single vineyard. If I recall correctly there is some oak aging on this. So much depth and flavor: mineral of course but some handsome age quality and balance of sweetness and acidity. Very special. — 7 years ago

Pre-Dinner wine, bought in the Jadot wine shop this morning after our crazy tasting (20) this morning.
Settling in but still bright fruits on the nose, but a barnyard aspect beginning to creep in. Palate still is very sharp, mud covered raspberry/cherry, are the primary notes. — 8 years ago
Light-brewed tea, mushroom, fresh rosemary, dark plum and cherry, ripe strawberry on the nose. Subtle notes of white tea, rosemary, strawberry, ripe red cherry, baked button mushrooms on the palate. Nice light Beaujolais with enough weight to stand up to some light meats or hearty pastas. — 2 years ago
