A Memorial Day BBQ wine, this was fantastic especially considering its youth. White pepper, plum and cassis, decent acidity, great body and length. I love R-C mostly for their Pinot, but they make a couple Syrah cuvées that rock (Cherry Camp is the other). — 6 years ago

Incredibile. In principio strano e scettico. Poi mangi un piatto e en bevi un po. C sta da dio! — 7 years ago
So...I am officially out of daily drinkers and this one came into play. This falls within our category between think twice 🤔 & don't touch 🙅🏼. @Larissa Mitchell gave me the go ahead b/c she didn't care for the timeshare like presentation (& pressure) we got to purchase at the end of the tour. Quintessa makes a fine wine - no salesmanship needed.
My Sunday night challenge to you @David A Lentine @Martin G Rivard @TheSkip @Mike Rowe @Daryl Calhoun @Roy Goble @Carl Fischer @Jim Trobaugh @Mike Smith @Ron R @Charles Hetzel @David Goldfinger @David Trumper @Bill Bender @Paul T @Eric LaMasters @Eric Shanks @"Odedi" is to recommend Napa reds (Cabs, Merlot, Cuvée) from $30-60 so I can refill this week. Feel free to comment/tag me in a past wine for reference. #napavalleyforever #mitchellwinestorage
Lastly, Chicago Cubs let's get some runs!! Opening a good bottle of wine for luck!! #iaintafraidofnogoat
TN - The nose is strong with cassis and Rutherford dust. Makes me feel like I am laying on the side of the Silverado Trail. Decanted 1.5 hours and it needed it. Very silky on the tongue and dark ruby color. — 9 years ago

Have not had a young C/R in a long time. This was like seeing a two year old thoroughbred race horse and thinking sure he’s not going to win the Kentucky Derby but this is a very good horse.
Lots of all the good things; fruit, acid and tannin and most importantly minimal alcohol influence in a warm vintage . Very pure , one can drink now but you will be missing out on even greater enjoyment in the future. — 5 years ago
@Paul T- Huntington Beach i guess bottle 2,000 is a R-C Riesling. It is the last vintage of their Riesling. — 6 years ago
Excellent wine from C&R, lots of fruity notes and perfect acidity on the back end. — 6 years ago

One of our favorites from VA. C R+ with some sediment; N fresh berry, raspberry, currant, woodsy; T same with added oak, mushroom. Smooth, mild tannins. — 5 years ago
Better than the 16, not as sweet.

$20.00 out the door doesn’t hurt either

Reddish tawny and translucent. Thinner and brighter than the older Barolo next to it. Great C-R nose. Notes of granite stone, earth, black cherry, cranberry, a little bacon, blueberries and some old wood. Vibrant in the mouth. Still has young fruit impression, tannins are soft and acidity still gives some pucker. Great future ahead for bottles like this. — 6 years ago
With R n C at sorter Havens. — 7 years ago
Easily the greenest of recent R-C Pinots. Delicious, driving, more tannic, green leaf Pinot... whole clusters? Could benefit from more cellar time. — 8 years ago
Wow, the acidity here is R A C Y. Nice and effervescent feeling on the tongue, intensely floral and herbal, honeyed Granny Smith apple. Yogurty funky aftertaste. Perfect dry Riesling. — 9 years ago
