I love Spanish whites particularly Verdejo. Lovely florals showing notes of honeysuckle. On the palate mouth filling tropical flavours with M+intensity and an acid cut at the finish. Amazingly 50% of the crush comes from 150 year old wines from Castilla y Leon. Delicious. — 8 years ago

Zippy and fun. Electric lemon. Bright and a bit cloudy — 5 years ago
Perfect. Going to save some of this for his 18th. Leon. — 6 years ago
Perfect Barolo, opened the bottle 3 hours prior to a beef wellington, perfection! — 6 years ago
This is a special cuvee that Leon only made once to celebrate the birth of his son. It’s a Cabernet/Merlot blend and effing brilliant. Sick nose. Herbal/bell pepper with big cassis, some wood, but not obtrusive. Floral and just beguiling nose. But the palate. My goodness. Elegant and structured with insane sap and structure but the freshness is what really sets this apart. This is magical wine. Wow. — 7 years ago
Gorgeous nose. Leather, red currents, wet moss, tobacco, mint, really terrific vivid aromas. Palate is soft yet juicy with whipsmart acidity. Wonderful freshness and length. So juicy. Very complex and drinking so well. Reminds me of Chateau Le Puy from the Cotes de Francs. @Delectable Wine this is from Wurrtemberg and not California. Thanks! — 8 years ago

I’m a sucker for Spanish Tempranillo. This wine seems less fruity and simultaneously more tannic than what I normally have. But still delicious. This is my first non Rioja Tempranillo. This is from the Castilla and Leon region. Typical? I’m eager to find out. — 6 years ago

Dry, full bodied, rich for Riesling. Still med+ to high acid, but relative to other Riesling. Ripe peach, yellow apple, wet stone, and lemon zest. — 4 years ago
