Sweet to eat with food or desert — 7 years ago
Delicious and bright Pinot Gris. Crisp and fruit forward without too much sweetness. Very fresh and somewhat creamy in texture. — 8 years ago

Coconut water! Cortese, not grenache gris! — 6 years ago
Pale peach in color. Muted aromas of peach and orange peel. Nice fruit and acidity on the palate accompanied by stony minerality. Made from a combination of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Counoise from the Windmill vineyard in the Dunnigan Hills of Yolo County, Syrah from the Hurley Vineyard in Napa Valley, and Grenache from the Gibson Ranch in the McDowell Valley of Mendocino County. Whole cluster pressed then fermented and aged on the lees in stainless steel without malolactic fermentation. Very quaffable at only 11.2%. $24. — 7 years ago
Much lighter than I thought it would be, but a nice wine overall! — 8 years ago
Not a bad effort from an old school Barossa producer — 8 years ago
Beautiful rose that is well rounded and complex. Not overly sweet or fruit forward. Refreshing. — 8 years ago
Very smooth and the label has it right — 9 years ago
Gibson Ranch Grenache Gris tasting. This one takes the cake. Light strawberry, zesty citrus, good structure and texture. — 9 years ago
Mid crimson in colour. Blueberry on nose and palate showing the 72% Mataro. Nice pulpy fruit with bitterness. Light to medium bodied. I would prefer to drink this now at 5 years rather than cellar further. A cult Barossa cuvée made by Abel Gibson who makes light and fresh Barossa Shiraz with less oak influence than the norm. Amazingly the lightest empty bottle I have seen compared to the Primitivo which was ridiculously heavy. Had another bottle 42 weeks later on 27th May 2019. Notes of cherry cola on nose and palate with a bitter twist at the finish like Plum skins. Low tannins and low acid - certainly not built for cellaring. Drink now. 1 bottle left. — 7 years ago
Classic aged wine. Smooth, light mineral and bubblegum feel with back soy and hoisin sauce taste. Abit sweet. Chalky and talcum powder after long decant — 8 years ago
Not as Medium Sweet as the label infers. Loads of green apple fruit flavors and aromas. Gripping acidity. Great food wine. Pleasant, easy drinker. It is missing that Riesling petrol quality. — 8 years ago
Delicate toasted. Got nice depth and an elegant wine. — 8 years ago
Really enjoyed this Rosato! On the nose, strawberry, mineral, blackberry, and raspberry. On the palate, good acidity, strawberry, blueberry, and a stone finish. Solid on its own but can be easily paired with food. Well done — 9 years ago

I am not the biggest fan of Aussie wines, perhaps because of Mel Gibson or Crocodile Dundee. Nevertheless, it’s a g’day mate if you imbibe this Cab. It’s is confounding how classic the flavor profile is, yet that ubiquitous Aussie dimension is still present. Pretend you are living an island of incarcerated criminals, but at least you have wine. — 6 years ago
