I heard legends that this man could transcend any vintage expectations and so I purchased this and rolled the dice. Apparently was the hottest it's been in decades during the 2003 vintage. Yes, it's true, this was like a raspberry pie in a glass giving off refined animal aromas. Managed to get all the good stuff out of the cornas wine and backed with the right acidity...WTF. Heroes get remembered. Legends never die. Right up there with allemand with a a bit of extra soul. RIP — 10 years ago

Named best Chardonnay in the world outside of Burgundy by Decanter magazine UK which is a big call indeed. Subtle tropical fruit nuances. Carrying a little oak but not overly so. Very satisfying. Born and raised, I'm a Texas boy through and through, and ladies and gentlemen, this is damn fine whiskey. Hailing from my hometown of Fort Worth, the tastes of cola and vanilla extract make this honey/molasses colored blended whiskey the stuff of Texas legends. Amazing testament to pre-parkerized Napa. On the nose duck prosciutto, tomato relish, dusty dry cassis, tamari, saline.. Fully melted tannins with deep initiation to the deepest wisdom and legends of Old Napa. Stunning! Savory and I just don't know how this wine still has life and structure. — 9 years ago
