Really nice served cold - gamay notes on the front and some spicy and herbal Pinot notes on the back end — 7 years ago
Ruby with garnet tone. Moderate concentration and staining. Fig, raisin, dried red cherries and raspberry. Marzipan, licorice/anise, clove, almond skin, resin, tobacco, meat 🍖 and leather. Smoky and oaky. Elevated to full body. Elevated to high acidity and tannin. — 7 years ago
#1000th Review# One of my all time favorite, this can easily crush many Amarone. Very young, no signs of tertiary notes at all. Sweet and warm spices, raisin, sweet cherries, mocha, dark chocolate and bright acidity. Best on day 2, very smooth texture. 15% abv and it’s well balanced. Classic CDP. 65 grenache, 20 syrah, 10 mourvedre, 5 cinsault. A little thin on the nose. Solid balance on the palate. On its own, this is solid. But with food, especially spicy food, this really shines. — 5 years ago
