Superb but very young. Has everything to become exceptional Montée. Even tastier at 45 euros a bottle at Parisian bistro. — 8 years ago
Strong rose, with nice fruit and body while still being refreshing in a hot Parisian night. — 8 years ago
Pretty decent Cab Franc. Basically a nicely made Parisian "bistro wine". On the nose, classic green pepper and red fruit. In the mouth, rich red fruit, green peppers and raspberries. My guess is either stainless or really old barrels, zero oak influence. Good grip and acidity. Medium-long finish. Great QPR @16 bucks. Update on day two: +.2 points. Much more open and juicier. Yum. — 9 years ago
Juicy , good depth and this review is highly biased by the accompanying Parisian sunset that came with this bottle. m&a — 10 years ago
If there were ever a moment for personification of a grape, it is when describing the Savoie / Bugey beauty Altesse. She is the fresh air that graces the valley, gazing upon the alps. She is graceful and innocent. She wears cranberry silk slips and strappy kitten heels and a flatteringly floral fragrance formulated just for her in a fancy Parisian parfumerie. Imagine Maria, from the Sound of Music, post-nunnery, on a trip to post-war Paris.
Or forget all that and just trust me - this is lovely, lovely wine.
Rolly poly but light on its feet. Silky with crunchy minerality and bright, fresh yellow apple notes with a textured, lasting finish. It's one of our favorite things. (OK, OK, enough with the Sound of Music references.) — 10 years ago

One of the hottest restaurants in town, Saturday night, the week before Cara's birthday: all the makings of a delightful date night.
Rarely is chicken king but at Le Coq Rico that's very much the case. Antoine Westermann apparently spent years trying to find the perfect chicken before he was comfortable opening the New York outpost of his famed Parisian poultry eatery. The Brune Landaise is indeed a beautiful bird, heavy on the white meat yet utterly succulent and flavorful. Anyone eating at Le Coq Rico should also try the extraordinary slow cooked eggs to start and end with I'ile Flottante, a perfectly spherical soft meringue floating in a sea of rich crème anglaise. Indulgent and divine.
I brought a 1994 L'Eglise Clinet, which I picked up a few years ago. Apparently this wine is considered a standout in an otherwise difficult vintage. Supple and right at its peak, this medium bodied Bordeaux has hints of cherry and tar that evolves beautifully on the palate. (Corkage is $50 per 750ml, max two per table.) — 8 years ago

Don't have the bottle, only the label. This beautiful, buttery is best enjoyed over a full Parisian feast. — 8 years ago

My wife and I are hosting 25 of my moms Parisian friends. We poured a ton of wines & this was the first of the evening. Lovely Sauvignon blanc. This was a great fit for the first wine of the evening. I would definitely recommend — 10 years ago
In cute reference to Parisian Space Invader graffiti and transatlantic differences of French and Argentine Malbec, this wine is surprising. Not easy to pair, not crowd pleaser like Malbec so often is, but very interesting. Give it some time to open up for dry, intense pomegranate flavor. — 10 years ago
NYE =‘s Krug Rosé. I can’t say I completely agree with what the Krug fireplace mantel suggests, but it’s certainly very delicately delicious and will put a guaranteed smile on your face! The mouthfeel is entirely feminine. The micro bubbles are unmistakable Krug and made with great precision. Fruits of; black raspberries, black cherry, cherries, watermelon mid way to the rhine, strawberries & understated citrus notes with pink grapefruit dominating the blend. The fruits are so restrained but are perfectly styled on the leaner side yet so ripe, juicy and delicious. There’s brioche but it comes fresh from the best of Parisian bakeries. Sea spray, minerality that is so soft & delicate, it’s hard to call it minerality. Krug Rosé reveals the very best, smooth, silky, velvety chalkiness that can be found on this planet. Pink roses/florals for days. Perfect acidity and a glorious, long, rich, beautiful finish that doesn’t end. If you enjoy wines that show pure elegance, perfect finesse and haven’t had Krug Rosé, treat yourself to a bottle or a split. The split may leave you wanting more. However, I can’t think of a better wine/way to celebrate the current year and bring in the next. Happy New Year all! May 2018 be peaceful, successful and spent with your family, best friends, prodigious wines and excellent food pairings! — 8 years ago

Enjoyable fruity wine in a Parisian cosy bar on montorgueil st. — 9 years ago
Sensational! This was a rec from a Parisian wine store owner, who said he recently opened a bottle and was delighted. He did not disappoint. Obviously stored perfectly. Bursting with bright fruit (blueberry), and tastes of cassis and baking spices. With just enough of that Bordeaux-St Emilion earthiness to satisfy but please even the non-Bordeaux drinker — 10 years ago

My first Bordeaux, gifted by a Parisian! Yum. — 10 years ago
