Intense savoury cherry. See previous Delectable note. Vacqueyras - 2nd only to Gigondas for Côtes du Rhône villages. This wine was 70% Grenache (over 60 years old), 15% Syrah (40 years old) and 15% Mourvèdre (40 years old). Tends to be slightly more rustic than Gigondas although this was very satisfying and good QPR. Alcohol a bit high at 14.5%. — 8 months ago

Refreshing and crisp effervescence. Raspberries and citrus. Medium acidity. Mineral finish. — 5 years ago
My first exposure to this producer was an absolute pleasure! Enticing floral notes foreshadowed crisp Asian apple and minerality on the mid and back palette. This wine was a perfect complement to oysters, scallops and mild white fish prepared for the table and enjoyed by all. — 5 months ago
Pretty nice. Little bit boring — 7 months ago
Third 90 Ponsot bottle served blind. This is bright tawny and translucent. When compared to the CSD served before it, this is more masculine with a dark cherry nose that is tight for the first 4-5 hours. By the time it’s served, though, it’s opened up and comes on as a rich and very powerful glass of juice. In addition to the regular notes of bing cherry, dark earth and rhubarb, this adds some mocha and a little cherry cola as well. Has a Rousseau-like precision in its delivery. From where it started to where it ended ~9 hours after opening, this evolved and improved the most. Great experience! (Bday 8 of 12) — 4 years ago

Fantastic. Touch of pear and apple, a hint of brioche, elegant bubbles, piercing acidity. — 4 months ago
