Strong aromatics of black currant and anise are woven together with crushed raspberry, sweet cream, and hints of cedar. 1995 vintage Zinfandel. Firm upper cork gave way a bit on the inside lower half inch but removed it all with a little care. That cork was Tight for twenty years. Must have been bold when young. It was pale light red, almost heavily faded but smelled sweet. Not as sweet to the taste but a mellow and a hint of cranberry after airing out. Dry. — 10 years ago
