If I'd known then what I know now. I find cab sav is most often a purchase based on speculation - they're frequently released far too young and are pretty much undrinkable in their youth. All overpowering tannin and intensity. This is an example of one very much worth the wait. Cool climate elegance combined with concentrated fruit and all sorts of complex notes layered throughout: menthol, cedar, blackcurrant, spice, hints of dusty chocolate and gently perfumed oak. Still has years ahead of it. Can't wait for dinner to finish cooking so I can sock it back with a rump steak. Should have bought more way back when! — 9 years ago
This vintage was fantastic. Nicely balanced. Right amount of pepper. Very much an underrated winery. — 6 years ago

Always love their Cabs. — 9 years ago
Blind tasting, wine number 4, bag number 3. Bright red and clear. Love the nose, black olives, cherries and hummus. Moderate tannins (6.5/10), and moderate body. Nicely integrated between the size of the body and tannins, but would love to try this in a few years by then hopefully the little bit of heat wears off. Nice amount of dark fruits as well. Lingering finish but is smoother than bottle number 5 and 6. My third favorite of the night. — 10 years ago
One of my favorite red blends! So smooth and tasty😊 — 7 years ago
Tint of plum, smooth finish — 7 years ago
Not a big Chardonnay drinker, but this grabbed me completely. Sweet and smooth, with real soft fruit to the end. Such a fan. — 8 years ago
Brooding, dark, inky and absolutely delicious. It's got some of those leathery, cigar box kinds of notes. Dash of dark chocolate on the nose. Plum. Black fruit. Concentrated. Nice chewy finish. Lingers. Rarely would I drink an Aussie merlot, yet this one's knocking it out of the park. — 8 years ago
Sweet and tasty. Goes down easily. — 9 years ago
Lucious wine full of ripe blackberries. Not overly spiced and exceptionally smooth. Perfect with a simple filler steak followed by cheese. — 9 years ago
Medium bodied, tiny touch on the sweeter side but still dry. It is a rosé. — 10 years ago

This was quite a surprise. While not the giant backbone you’d expect from a Cali cab, it had a nice Viscosity on the pallet and a longer finish. The tannins not fully integrated for its age, with a higher acidity level. Drank more like a Bordeaux blend. — 6 years ago
