Needs to warm up and get some air time, but when it does it's a wine of notable delicacy and purity. Lively nose of bright lemon-lime, underripe peach, and river stones. Soft and lacey textured, it's quite pure tasting and has a growing chalky minerality in the finish. Very good acidity. Have to remark on the color too, which is a really luminous light green/gold. Distinctive. — 8 years ago
This is one of the most purely delicious spirits I've tasted in quite some time. Bourbon-like vanilla and cherry aromas, prevalent chocolate in the middle and roasted corn at the end. Alcoholic, but smooth on the palate w/ more of that bourbon corn and butterscotch. Very cool product!! Hope to see its return! — 9 years ago
Let me introduce you to my new friend, Falanghina! Lilting, lacey, lovely pour. Available Sonoma's Best! — 10 years ago
Crisp fruit notes. Excellent chilled. — 10 years ago
This Tempranillo from Stottle Winery is incredible! Notes of spice, blackberry, bing cherries, and tart strawberry. The grapes are sources from the Columbia Valley WA while Stottle is located in Hawks Prairie, Lacey, WA. — 10 years ago
Wow! I'm impressed.. Succulent Bordeaux with X-Factor. If you love Cabernet, get a few bottles of this. French Pomerol Nose = 9/10. Serious structure, red currant, cassis and chocolate layer the palate. Silky, fresh and fruit ever so pure. Lacey structure with slippery fine tannins and 60 second finish. Class act! 94-95 points. — 10 years ago
Lime gooseberry and rainwater. Lacey acidity. Quite pretty. — 11 years ago
Like lemon chiffon. Pretty, bright, and lacey. — 12 years ago
Old vine, own rooted pinot. A lot of aroma/taste memory from the 2016 vintage during ferm. Pure dark fruit with lacey earth notes. Vibrant with very balanced structure. — 8 years ago
I do enjoy a good Syrah from good ol' Washington. Soft nose for a Syrah, typical notes of gamey grilled meat, herbs, and nutmeg spices. Less oaky than previous vintages which I liked, exhibiting ripe blueberries, cocoa, dried herbs, and a smooth lacey tannin to the finish. Good value in the $20 department, but I think I'd enjoy a Croze-Hermitage for the same money a little more. Goes well with a good burger though! — 8 years ago
Just a touch sweet. Lacey loooooved this. — 9 years ago
Absolutely stunning old lady, still so bright and citrusy, super sweet umami-rich cranberries, leafy and stalky aromas, in a soy-mushroom background. Palate is lean but with plenty of mid, fully resolved, lacey texture roped in sous bois and orange peel, with a long, bushy finale. A total giveaway for $50!! — 10 years ago
Very mineral, reductive nose, with coaxing notes of graham cracker, tangerine, sage and fresh cherry, quite floral as well with notes of iris. Quite concentrated and mineral, fresh and classic. In style, elegant and refined with firm, lacey tannin. Plenty of flowers, orange and mineral power in back end. Yes will age well, keep for 10+ years, solid brunello i imagine this is exceptional in better years. — 10 years ago
The clos des papes was so pristine and pure, no wood, but it was massive in the mouth and very finessed at once, bursting with baskets of cherry raspberry and blackberry in dried thyme and wet rocks, couldn't smell alcohol at all and fruit smelled so pure, palate was mega concentrated with a herb and mineral finish, and waves of fresh fruit, felt the alcohol 15.5%!! A bit in the back end, Tannins were very fine and regal, no astringency at all but plenty of grip. A blockbuster but still carried itself with freshness, balance and purity, a fantastic wine that shouldnt be touched for at least 5 more years and for sure will age well for another 15-20. A relative value at $119, and very burgundian in its purity and lacey texture. 2011 vintage. — 10 years ago
This Beajoulais made me sit up a little straighter and pay attention. Great structure but drinking well now. Nice balance of slightly tart cherry, slight touch of herbal stalky note, mineral and acidity. Lacey mouthfeel and medium finish. — 10 years ago
Lacey and light. Sweet but not heavy. Beautiful. — 8 years ago
There is nothing I love more than this wine sometimes. There is a comfortable familiarity to this wine. It bursts from this glass with lavender, minerals, honey, verbena, chamomile and peaches. The palate is loosey goosey and precise with lacey and elegant texture before firming up with intense acid structure and depth. What a wine. What a value. — 9 years ago
A plump year. A sip makes me think of sweet cream butter, raw almonds, and an almost lacey quality. Flavors are yellow apple, Asian pear, curd. Gentle, lingering kiss of a finish. — 10 years ago
Lacey gives it a 10! Tastes "purple" — 10 years ago

Ojai Vineyard Wines has a great Santa Maria Valley chard, from Bien Nacido Vineyard, courtesy of Lacey Lewis. Buttery, oak, with a slight citrus - Debbie loves it! — 12 years ago

Perfumed, fresh, lifted. Considerable finesse to this wine, elegant with light extract and focused on purity. Nose is spiced; potpourri, cracked green peppercorns, herbs de Provence, menthol, bayleaf, dried flower petals. The fruit is lacey and somewhat brambly. Palate is savory in its spice and mineral notes. The tannins are youthful but show great finesse for how young this is and the vintage. — 8 years ago
