90% Tempranillo; 10% Graciano. Red fruited perfume, earthy with medium plus intensity. Palate at 21 years is developed, balanced and soft with fully integrated tannins. Medium weight with declining strength to its inner core. Not near as good on the 2nd night. This aged overnight and finishes a little sour. I was going to give it 94 points but will now give 90 points. — 2 months ago
Soft and fruity with balanced tannins. Maybe softer than preferred to pair with pizza, but quite good anyway on its own — a month ago
Cherry confit nose with balsamic violets. Soy attack. Some energy and firm tannin (from oak?). Beautiful finish. — 2 months ago

Great for an Aperol Spritz or neat in a glass. — 3 years ago
I was going through my La Chapelle section today and my eyes got stuck on this 1999 - bottle looked absolutely pristine and I decided it was a perfect age to drink. Cork was in great condition and the wine was powerful and youthful with no signs of oxidation. Could have kept the bottle for a few more years, but it was probably perfect today. All the complex leathery earthy goodness you expect from this wine was there. — a month ago
A unique wine. Vibrant golden hue, reductive aroma combined with a variety of ripe orchard fruits, saline breeze, pineapple, wet stone. Palate with high acidity, a lingering tannic grip, stony minerality, apple, pear, fresh almonds. I drink the current vintage (which happens to be 2012 this year) with my wife once per year, and have for the last 5 years. Nostalgic. — 2 months ago
Another excellent btl that was consistent with my prior notes — a month ago
2015. Wasn’t sure what to pair with this delicious Filipino rice dish with longanisa, chicken, and cumin crab fat butter (likely a wide range of whites, rosés, and lighter reds would work well), but I wanted to try this Spanish Crianza and it was wonderful! The fruit flavors were enough to complement the sweet sausage and the smooth tannins cut through the richness without intensifying the spice. — 4 months ago
Cherry, vanilla cola with cherry syrup, not sweet though, slight stainless and freshly chopped herb aroma, light and perfectly suited for small bites in the FL heat. — 9 months ago
Simply brilliant! 2 hours slow ox and drank over the next three aromatically a bit dark, nose of tar, tobacco, dried rose petals wonderfully beautifully mid palate brilliantly balanced the wine is simply amazing! — 21 days ago
Solid red blend. But sold as full bodied, which it is not. Light drinking. Suitably dry. — a month ago
Strangely oxed day one, glorious day two. Maybe it’s me? — 2 months ago

While its name doesn’t sound like an SB from NZ, it sure tastes like one. Pronounced passion fruit, a little green apple, and more lime than other Sauv Blancs. Refreshing and great value at TJs. — 6 months ago
Nice flavours of red berry and oak. — 8 months ago
