A really interesting white wine! Very fruity and somewhat acidic but still carries the tannins of a Nebbiolo. Held up nicely against a pasta with pumpkin sage cream sauce. Would love to have again! — 7 years ago
1999 vintage.Amazing Sangiovese made by legendary Heidi Barett. If I read well between the lines in Kelly A White's fantastic book this should be the last Sangiovese vintage produced by La Sirena before their Sangiovese source disappeared. This really smells like a top-notch Tuscan wine and it keeps on growing in the glass suggesting it is not at all at the end of its evolution. Impressive — 8 years ago
Had it at "Sirena" $10/glass. It was delicious. Vanilla and apricot notes. — 8 years ago
Very earthy and tannic red. Always great wines at La Sirena — 9 years ago
Opened second yesterday after the La Sirena 2005 Syrah was a bit tough ( Sunny's parent's are visiting). Crowd please, velvety and smooth, great nose of dark fruits, lighter notes and less heavy undertones compared to the La Sirena. Finished tonight with pasta and truth be told, some Korean scallion kimchee ( not an obvious pairing) but Sunny said it was great! — 10 years ago
This is a very rounded, elegant and nicely polished Malbec. As you know, many Malbecs can be rugged and rough on the palate. Not the case here. This is the second Winemaker that I’ve had other than Charles Hendricks that knows how to make an elegant, soft and well rounded, brilliantly floral Malbec. Wire to wire this wine is beautiful, balanced with polish for days. River like acidity. — 5 years ago
Wine tasting la sirena. Third glass. Light and smooth but still had character. — 7 years ago
An enjoyable dinner at the Tapas Bar at La Sirena was further enhanced by this delicious wine. Burlotto is certainly one of the hot Barolo producers right now. This Barbera is equally dripping with quality. Violets and layers of red and dark fruits make for a wine that is both sophisticated and accessible. Superb value too. I'll probably pick up a few bottles especially as it has the structure to last a fair while, while also delicious right now. — 7 years ago

A Bollinger style wine from a former employee. Tried his wines straight from his garage and now having it on a beautiful marble countertop at la sirena. Super stoked to see such small producer on such a big stage. Yeasty, rich, and awesome. Psyched to see this wine getting around. — 9 years ago
Pretty good. Got me drunk. — 8 years ago
Magnum. Just like last night, this was my favorite of the two wines, but many others preferred the La Sirena. Oh well, to each her own. Both very good, but for me, this was well balanced and very pleasing and while ready to drink... it will still be great in another 10 yrs. — 8 years ago
Drinking great, still had a ton of life left in it, it was right in between that curve of young wine starting to show some age. — 9 years ago
Spent entirely too much for a glass at La Sirena, but glad I tried it and can buy it for a reasonable price to have at home. — 9 years ago
Like the la sirena Muscat — 10 years ago

La Sirena Rosato 2019: Medium-light bodied. Well balanced. Light acidity. Nice minerality. Strawberry & citrus flavors with a bright & clean finish. Made from Primitivo grapes sourced from Amador County in the foothills of California, this is the perfect “fun to drink” or “easy to love” rosé wine. Let’s not forget this rosé comes from the talented winemaking skills of Heidi Peterson Barrett 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 All in all, a perfect selection as schools out & summer’s here! Let the summer camps & play dates begin! Make it a unique & magical day! Cheers ☀️🧜♀️🍷 — 3 years ago
