Med+ body and acidity; deep ruby; great Chianti expression. Buy more. — 2 years ago
Delightful little Barbera. Plenty of texture, character and complexity as you would expect. Highly recommend! — 6 years ago
Delightful after decanting for three hours, minimum. — 8 years ago
2006. Drinking nicely. I could see this pairing with almost any food. — 12 years ago
Foot of the alps; peaches, flowers, oranges, elderflower, sweet, slightly fizzy, light, 'feminine', giggly; paired with poached peaches and pistachio ice cream (good for wedding!) — 12 years ago
Opened sometime before service; enjoyed in the company of Natalie Oliveros. The 2022 pours a bright ruby color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Bing cherry, red flowers, black tea, dried green herbs and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A lovely, quaffable RdM that scratches the itch I want with aplomb. Drink now through 2037. — 2 days ago

Fiorita met No dit was echt TOP — 3 years ago
With Megan and Nikki at Serra Fiorita on the Roof in NUC. Love this wine! — 7 years ago
First few sips = a bit underwhelming. Much better once opens up. Good value as a bin end. — 12 years ago
Sangiovese, Merlot. Funky on the back end. Round. Balanced tannin. — 13 years ago
Splash decanted; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2001 pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining and loads of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with lovely notes of plums, Morello cherry, red and purple flowers, cocoa, a mix of organic and inorganic earth and subtle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and sanguine. After 25 years, I remain in adoration of the 2001 “Campoleone” and aside from navigating the monumental sediment, this should be a joy well past 2035. — 5 months ago

Opened sometime before service; enjoyed in the company of Natalie Oliveros. The 2010 Brunello pours a deep garnet with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Morello cherry, raspberry, red flowers, Earl Grey, varnish, dried green herbs and dry gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Lovely. The energy in this 2010 is electric still, 16 years from vintage and hardly showing signs of a secondary characteristics. The VA reminds you that it’s Italian, but well within the range of charming. The structure remains an impenetrable bunker and yet, the fruit is more than up for it; many years to go. Drink now with patience through 2045. — 17 hours ago
