Good friends 6 bottles of incredible wines sitting around a warm fire.... Life is good. — 8 years ago
I think this and their Cab Franc are two of their most intriguing wines. Built to last. — 8 years ago
A deluge of rain just prior to harvest made for a challenging vintage in 2013, a "winemaker's vintage" in the Willamette Valley, but there are bright spots, wines with nuance and freshness. Willamette Valley Vineyards is one such wine, worthy of consideration, with classic raspberry and Rainier cherry notes, trail dust, and mahogany wood. On the palate, tart cranberries and pomander ball lead into a finish of moderate length, inlaid with minerality and tinged with spice. 13.4% ABV | Sample — 9 years ago
We discovered this winery by accident on a trip up the California/Oregon coast when we cut back through the Umpqua Valley. Had a tasting and loved it so much, I became a member. I receive their wines regularly and all our friends love their Tempranillo. Sultry and smooth when open. — 9 years ago

Nice Pinot. Like the finish. A little bolder than regular Pinot. — 11 years ago

World of Wines 3/29/17. Soft tannins, finish-heavy. Highly drinkable and a fun story from the winemaker's employee (ask about the rhino on the label). — 7 years ago
A lovely luscious chardonnay. White peach and grapefruit flavours with a saline undercurrent and lime peel setting off the palate. Very smooth with a creamy mouthfeel, but no evidence of malolactic fermentation except for a subtle hint of creme brûlée. The oak very restrained. The acid is quite subdued at this point, giving the wine great balance with a long lingering finish. Simply beautiful. — 8 years ago
2008, classy like all his wines. Polish red fruit and tons of acidity. Low alcohol and food friendly. — 8 years ago
Very rich and full bodied, can stand up to any strongly flavored red meat dish. One of my favorite wines at an affordable price — 9 years ago
Great blend of varietals, the usual cabernet/merlot characters well represented, but also ehanced with the malbec and cabernet franc. Would recomend ageing further, 3-5 years but will go longer. — 9 years ago
'10. Maldafrica was inspired by an early '80s visit by COS cofounder to Haut-Brion. A truly different 50-50 Cab-Merlot with the house style that crosses elegance with a good kind of rusticity. Giusto Occhipinti (above) was also a phenomenal host and the best kind of Bon Vivant. Seek him out, as the COS story is as inspirational as this very, very yummy and distinctive wine. Like Gulfi, making Sicily among the hotbeds of cool new wines in Europe. COS winemaker's tasting @noragrey. Kudos to Theo and Oenopole! — 9 years ago
This wine is really lovely, it's like bring able to taste the heaviness of the alcohol, which sounds totally bonkers but I know what I mean. I like these types of wines compared to the light, fluffy and cheap wines off of the £1.99 - £3.99 range, a bottle doesn't touch the sides whereas a heavy wine I'm good to go after 3 glasses (no not pint, more like whiskey glasses and good to go being a single disabled mum doesn't mean what it sounds like!) — 10 years ago

Our perception of a wine is influenced by not only the wine, but the surroundings and people with whom we're drinking it. I had this wine in a nice restaurant in St. Helena with Claire Pott, the winemaker's wife. It was rich and tightly structured opening up after an hour to flavors of cassis, cocoa and leather. — 11 years ago
Super yummy and sweet, almost honeyish; sweeter than their moscato. — 12 years ago
This California blended red really surprised me with a lot of flavor coming from what appears to be a light to medium bodied wine.
First taste reminded me of some of my favorites with subtle aged oak up front and a muted cassis finish. I was disappointed that it did not sustain that same profile but, probably due to the lighter body, yielded to floral and delicious spice notes.
Overall this one is a keeper for me, especially for serving to an unknown guest whose palate may not go for the chewy earthen wines I prefer. It carries some of those same qualities in lighter and softer tones.
I think the sweetness is well balanced allowing it to pair well across a wide range of foods. It also has a rich and clear ruby color that would certainly brighten any table. — 8 years ago
Really good for Walgreens -1.5L for $8.99 list. Much better than bitterness of box wines, especially Discounted all the way to $3.99! — 8 years ago
One of the nicest wines — 9 years ago
All their wines are satisfactory. Each one is good for your specific wants out of a solid red. — 9 years ago
Light and fruity. Well balanced. Peach after notes. Drank the 2013 vintage. — 9 years ago
Nice fruity, but bold taste, much better after letting it air out for a minute...still learning wines but enjoyed this Cabernet — 9 years ago
Sweet, but not too sweet. Light hint of berry. Perfect for a day out by the pool! — 10 years ago
Would be great aged. Has a lot of depth to the flavor. — 11 years ago
