First red wine after the four Sauvignon Blancs, this bottling use to be called the Marlbrook until the first vintage in 2011 under the Estate name. Deep ruby red with dark red berries on the nose, some spices, woody elements and a touch savory. Medium tannins (6.5/10) with a medium to medium plus body. Notes of black currants, twigs and earth. Medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2024.

Last of the Sauvignon Blancs at Klein Constantia.
Light greenish yellow. Very fresh on the nose with white floral notes, a little nutty, lovely white and stone fruits as well as some gooseberries. Heavy acidity (7.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Layered palate with citrus notes as well as some other lighter fruits and balanced throughout. Long finish. Drink till 2023.

2013 Charles Smith Klein Vyd Bordeaux blend
This is crazy good. one of the most delicious young can based wines i have had from WA. lots of fruit and concentration with good complexity. i have a few more bottles that i can't wait to taste in 4-6 years. this has the stuffing to last 15 easy but it won't need anything like that to reach greatness. run don't walk to find some. — 10 years ago

Förtrollande färg. Honung, saffran, torkade kryddor, nektarin och lite kex. Angränsar halvtorr men nog den ganska låga syran som lurar än. Oavsett, väldigt gott. — 7 years ago
