Dark fruit spectrum. Herbal and spice. Earth is developing nicely. Lively acidity and velvet tannins provide a lush and generous finish. — 6 years ago
Decent as Virginia wine goes, but too acidic — 10 months ago

Bright red and black fruit, cinnamon, and sweet baking spices, with well integrated smoke and cedar. Backbone is the perfect name for this more structured, bold Oregon Pinot. — 7 years ago
Drank it with a French guy who said it was great. Good enough for me! — 2 years ago
Blackberry bramble, baked black cherry and plum, hints of maraschino, mint and menthol, bell pepper and geranium, cedar, tobacco, and bakers vanilla with whiffs of aged leather jacket on the nose. Blackberry, cherry, juicy raspberry, vanilla extract and weak black tea on the palate with a medium heavy body but a medium short finish. Overall a great wine for pumpkin pie brunch on Christmas morning (no it’s not too early). Merry Christmas! — 2 years ago
This is a nice and light Cabernet Franc from Virginia. Showing red and blue fruits with earth, honeysuckle, chocolates, oak, vegetables and spices.
Light ruby in color with medium intensity.
Very pretty nose, sweet and flowery.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Good right out of the bottle., light and airy. Would be nice to revisit it in a couple of years.
A good food wine that I paired with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses olive crackers.
12% alcohol by volume.
89 points.
